MEDALLA COMBATIENTE WEYCHAFE PU MAPUCHE

of the Kingdom of Araucania and Patagonia


This medal was created November 17, 2010 by Royal Decree of Prince Philippe in order to reward members of the Mapuche people who have distinguished themselves in the struggle for human rights of the Mapuche people. It is made in silver coated brass and shows at the center the effigy of Toki Leftraru surrounded by laurel leaves with the caption above:

"LEFTRARU"

and below:

"WEYCHAFE PU MAPUCHE"

The reverse shows at the center the inscription "Reino de Araucania y Patagonia" over-ridden by the royal crown, all surrounded by laurel leaves with the caption above:

"INDEPENCIA Y LIBERTAD"

And below:

"LA UNIÓN HACE LA FUERZA"

The ribbon shows the colors of the Kingdom, blue, white and green

The medal has been designed par K.-P. Pohland, Duke of Coronel, Vice-Chancellor of the Kingdom

This medal will be awarded with a diploma to Mapuche People who meet the defined criterias
